Autumn card for Co-workers 60th birthday

A co-workers 60th birthday, and I was asked to make a card from us at work. And it would be nice if it was not so very feminine thank you.

So as it is autumn and the huntings season starts on sunday, I made a card with an elk on it. The leafs are my favourite die from Boss Kut. I have used this die for so many cards!!! All the paper and flowers are leftovers. The cardstock is pumpkin orange! I finaly found a use for it!. I have inked all the leafs and the paper behind with rusty hinges distress ink. on the leafs I also used some green distress ink.

Not a pink baby card

A co-workers niece became a mother a few weeks ago, and I was asked to make a baby card. The new mother does not like pink, so I was asked to make a baby card that was not pink.

So this is what I ended up with. I tried to go for vintage instead of pink. The colours are more burgundy and dark. I actuallay used worn lipstick distress ink on the letters and frame to make them stand out. All the paper is from the same sheet of paper, only looks darker because of the inking. The carnation flower are Ivory, and also got a swipe of distress ink. The stamp is one of my favourites from Joanna Sheen! These stams are just gorgeous!!!

The new mother called my co-worker the same day she got the card and gift in the mail, and she was extremely happy with the card. Apparently she want to frame it and have in the nursery. Wow

Quack Quack

For some strange reason I thought about these little ducklings for days and wanted to make a card with them. I have not used any of my Quickutz for a very long time, but I dusted the dies and located my duck. The idea is that this is a great card for a boy or girl turning 1 year old. They do not need more than they recognice.

I hand tore my blue paper to make it a little wave like and coloured the wings a little orange and black for the eyes. Then I just could not think of a single ting more to put on the card, as all just crowded it. Odd!

But I'm satisfied with it, and it proves to me that sometimes more is less.

I'm starting to get the feel for cardmaking back!

My cardmaking have been sadly neglected during my 4 years at school. But now that I can titulate myself as Prosject Engineer I have time to make cards again without feeling bad about doing so!

I made this card with leftover paper that was in my growing pile. I also used a cornations stamp that I bought the first time I went to Gjøvik for school, so this was part of celebrating that I'm not a school girl anymore. The sentiment say" Happy birhtday" in Norwegian.

Birthday card for a co-worker that turns 67!

I made this card for one of my co-workers that turn 67years old tomorrow friday!

I finaly got to use my lovely paper pad with asian themed papers. I think it fits well to a grown man and his birthday card. I put on bling in the middle of the flowers and on the top and bottoms.

I have not been making cards for the last 7-8 months because I have been working hard on my last year of 4 on school. That makes for one big list of cards that I ought to have made. This is one of them that I made 5 minuttes ago.
Today I got a set of stickers in the mail that I bougth just for fun. They are based on old french fabric patterns and are just lovely! And when I looked at the lovely bee, I though of the CropStop Blog hop challenge that I found at Michelle's blog. Inspired by nature.

On the inside of the card I did it quiet and just stamped the same stamp 4 times to make a pattern.

I used the same stamp on the back of the card and on the envelope. So now I have to write the card and pop it in the mail tomorrow!

"Celebrate Summer" Blog Hop! Under the sea

On friday a friend did me a favor and did not want anything in return. So inspired by the Cropstop Blog hop I made this matchbox and candle decorations.

Rosemary's challenge is under the sea, and I found some paper that works like magic for under the sea. The wrapping around the candles is a used toilett paper roll, that fit well for the candles. The dolphin stamps are from an English stamp collection called Tanda Stamps.

I used some masking on the turtle and blue dolphin to get the 3D feeling on the matchbox.
I hope my friend will like the gift, as she and her family are going on a holliday to the coast next week.

Crop Stop have a Celebrate Summer Blog Hop. I started on the first stop and found Vicki's challenge that is to think pink!
A friend is expecting a girl next week, so I jumped to the challenge and made a pink baby card.
The text is in norwegian and say "A little princess"

On the inside of the card I used some white rubbons that I have had for ages, and a stamp from Joanna Sheen.

I used another baby stamp from Joanna Sheen on the back and on the envelope.

So now it is just to wait for the baby to be born. She will have 5 older sisters!

This is the card I made for my mothers friend that lost her husband today.
I used cardstock from DCWV Luxury stack. The words are from Lyrical letters. The birds are from Quick kutz.

On the inside of the card I cut out a cross from the Easter 2010 cartridge, and some more birds from Quick kutz. I hope the cards tell that I think of them now these hard days to come.

Sympathy cards

My childhood neighboor, and the father of my best friend growing up, died today.
His name was Odd, and it feels realy sad that he passed away. I made to cards today. One for my childhood friend, and one for her mother. This is the front of the card. I cut out the ornamental leafs from the new Lite cart botanical. The paper is from the Luxury stack from DCWV. I got the paperstack yesterday and it is just lovely!.
Behind the leafs I have grey paper. The word Kondolerer was from Lyrical letters. It got on a bit crocked, and I did not manage to fix it before the glue dried. Oh well, it is hand made.

On the inside of the card I made a Dolphin form the Splish Splash cartridge. Odd was a seaman all his life, and it is said that Dolphins come to the aid of sailors that's in need. I used matte silver and grey paper. I stamped ornamental corners with weatered wood distress ink.

On the back is another cut from the botanical cartridge.

Birthday Cards

July is a month of many birthdays, and I made a few cards. This card was made from the wild card cartridge. I used blue mirror cardstock for the wave and the fan. The blue flowerpattern paper is from a paper pad I bougth last year.

This is the inside of the card. I tried not to put to many items of this card to get a clean oriental feel to the card.

This card that I made for my sister in law was made from the Wild Card cartridge as well. And I decroated it with a model from Forever young. The paper was from a suprice bundle that I bought on sale. I have just the one paper, and made the most of it. I think this card turned out very well, and are realy pleased with it!

This card is the same card cut out from Wild cards, with another paper from the suprice bundle. I turned the card the other way, and gave it a big flower to get a summer look to it.

I put small dots of dimentional on the flower and leaf to give it some dew drops. I'm happy with the way it turned out. I sent this card to my online friend Dalis.

This card could not be better timed. It is a congratulation with the end of the school year and I got it on my last schoolday as well! Thank you Majo, I was so happy for this card!

My son had his last day at the daycare senter today!

My 5 year old son are now ready to start school when we are done with our sommer vacation.
It feels rater strange not having a little boy anymore, but only school children.
He wanted a card to give to the grown-ups today, so we made a card yesterday. And he wanted Batman! I used the Cricut Batman cartridge and one of the new Tim Holtz embossing folders. The paper behind Batman is orange, and I used fired brick distress ink on the paper after embossing.

On the inside of the card we also had Batman!

And Batman on the back as well. I made the card rather big so that I did not have to deal with to small cut outs, but on the face it was tiny anyway.

Kort med Wild cards

I was on a forum and read a tread about the Cricut Cartridge Wild Card, and if it was one to have or not. It was one of the first cartrides I ever bought, but have not used for a long time. I got so inspired that that evening I dug it out and made 2 cards. I used my Gypsy to strech the card out a bit to get it wider. It is a rather slim card on the cartridge.

This white card I made as a birthday card to my sister inlaw that have her birthday on saturday. With the red flowers on the paper I used I think that the red halfpearls is perfect.

On the inside I used the lovely dragonflys from Pagoda. The stamp say Happy Birthday for you that do not read Norwegian.

I put the dragonflys on the back of the card to.

I used paper from K&C on this card, and the blushing roses on the paper went well with the flowers I found in my stash. It does not show so well on the photo, but the halfpearls are olive green. I made this card for a co-worker that want it for a 60-year old birthday girl.

The flower on the inside is from Pagoda as well.

Baby album for Maja

The couple next door have got a baby girl named Maja, and I made this baby album for the little angel. The album were cut out from my Cricut, and I constructed it on my Gypsy. The front is from Storybook. It was so much fun making such a girly baby album!

Here's the album looking at it on the thable. I'm so happy with it!!! Here's the inside of the fist page. I cut out the letters right after I cut out the pages, so with out thinking I made letters for the back pages as well, that was not intended, but when I had cut them out I decided to just use them.

I cut out this scroll from Heritage. I made this side for journaling.

I made several tags with little colour on the back so that they are easy to write on.

Here's a photomat, and the cutest little bird. The bird is yellow glitter stock, and sparkles!

On this page I made place for tags under the photomat. As you can see on the picture below it opens up for photos or journaling. This lovely little silver spoon I bought on ebay. It's soo cute!

I made this envelope for placing memorabilitas in. And I bougth this lovely babyfrill ribbon that turned out to be elastic! It fit perfect! I was a little afraid to put it on to tight, so it ended up a little loose, but it looks good. The little ducks are yellow glitter stock just like the bird further up.

I tink this page turned out real nice! The swirls on the yellow glitterstack is not glued down over the photomat, so a picture can be slided under them.

The elephants on this page is part of the paper that I made the album from. They are so cute that I did not have the heart to cover them up.

And the last page. I did not do so much with it. There's room for a picture if they want to, and if not it looks just ok for me.

I helgen har jeg kost meg med litt kortlaging!

Jeg har slitt litt med å klare å sette meg ned og lage kort i det siste, men i helga fant jeg noe inspirasjon, og satte igang med kortlaging. Jeg hadde kjøpt meg en ny papir blokk, og den ble brukt på alle kortene utenom et.

Jeg startet med dette kortet som jeg har scrapliftet ganske mye fra et kort jeg så på Cricut messageboard. Jeg har skjært ut feen fra A childs year. Etter dette var kreativiteten i gang og jeg laget disse. Alle har figurer fra A childs year. Dette er det kortet jeg er minst fornøyd med, ble ikke helt fornøyd med blomser til deg stemlet, og fylte på med andre for å få noe balanse i kortet.

Da jeg lagde dette kortet ble jeg litt inspirert av en veninne som elsker katter. Tror at hun skal få dette kortet av meg ved anledning.

Pussig nok var det dette rosa kortet min mann likte best av kortene jeg lagde? Sier det noe om de andre eller hva? jeg aner ikke.

Dette kortet liker jeg svært godt og det er fordi profilen ser akkurat ut som en av mine nevøer! Han skal få dette kortet til bursdagen sin i mai om han liker det eller ikke. Han blir 7 år og synst sikkert dette er for barnslig.

Dette kortet bare ble slik, kom fram til at det må bli et kondolansekort, selv om det ikke var det som var planen da jeg lagde det.

Altering a swether

My son got this handknitted sweater some years ago. He have not used it much as he think it is soo booring. (and I agre)

So I took it out today and stitched some flowers and stems on it, and croched a scallped flower that I stitched on with some white tread. Now I like it much better. My son is no flowerlover, so I'm going to pass it on to the 2 year old girl next door. I hope that she likes it.

Scetchy Colors Challenge #11

In this challenge on Scetchy Colors you have to use the colors light green, dark green and pink. I was playing in my scraproom and made this Påske decoration. Going to be nice for easter. I'm planning on having it on one of my kitchen kabinets for the easter. (Påske is the Norwegian word for Easter)

I used Gypsy Font for the letters. I welded the shadows and cut out shadow and words in the same light green colour. I used Rangers Pine needles distress ink to colour the shadow dark. The bird is from Storybook. It is sooo cute!

challenge "5 Flower Power Crop Stop

This week the challenge on Crop Stop was to make a 3D flower. I made several loveflowers for Valentine. In norwegian lollipops are called Kjærligheter, and kjærlighet is also the norwegian word for Love. So I made loveflowers. I made bouquets with 3 for my children, and cellophan wrapped one and one as small gifts to spread around. Here is a closeup of one of the bouquets.

The challenge at Cropstop was to make an elfdoor with a elf inside the door. I made the door, but was never able to catch the elf! It was there when the camera was of, but was missing everytime the camera was on. So I only bring the picture of the front of the card.

Noen nye julekort

Dette kortet glittrer det av! Og pynten på sidene er ganske så hvit, etter å ha fått en omgang med snøhvit dabber.

Dette kortet ble jeg veldig fornøyd med! Men det er sjeldent jeg har hatt så lite på et kort!

Men jeg likte veldig pakke følelsen jeg fikk av kortet, uten at det ble for lite.Det stempelet gjør så mye av seg!

Dette kortet glitrer og skinner. Papiret har glitter i seg, og det så mye at jeg måtte jobbe hardt for å få noe som helst til å sitte fast på det, både stempling og liming. Hadde ikke falt meg inn da jeg kjøpte papiret at det var så vanskelig å bruke! Men det glittrer fint da :-)

Pyntepapiret her er fra en papirblokk med skisser av DaVinci. Papirene er flotte, men vanskelig å bruke. Mye mønster. Jeg er ikke helt sikker på bruksområdet for dette kortet. Er det et kondolansekort? grattis med ny baby? Håper du har en fin bursdag? Jeg har ikke peiling. Tiden vil vise.

Dette er kanskje ikke en tradisjonell julefarge, men jeg liker kombinasjonen av gull, beige, brun og disse søte perlene som jeg har brukt. Jeg fikk i alle fall julefølese av det!

Her har jeg ikke hatt på gull, men prøvd å kombinere med litt grønt, som jo er litt mer jul.

Her oser det av gull, for her har jeg vært svært generøs med gull dabber.

Jeg må innrømme at jeg til tider er redd for å overpynte kortene mine. Ingen fare her ser jeg sånn i ettertid :-)

I made these Post-it covers after looking at how Vicki did it at CropStop.

It was fun, and not what I make all the time. And I have already given away 2, and sold one, and I'm keeping the green for my office at work.

I put a magnet on the indide for easy opening and fastening.

The paper on this card and the next is so lovely that you almost do not have to do anything to get a gorgeous card!

I do enjoy playning with the black and white and silver for christmas.

I think silver and light blue are faboulus colours for christmas

On this card I used one of the faboulus embossing dies from Cuttlebug. I'm rather pleased with the result.

Jeg har dekorert en tørkerullkjerne og fyrstikkeske, som jeg har tenkt å gi i førjulsgave til svigermor og svigerfar. Jeg synst disse er morsome å lage, men det begrenser seg hvor mange jeg får laget, da jeg jo er avhengig av å ha disse kjernene da!

Her er to til. Den ene er til min svigerinne og svoger på Lillehammer. Den andre er bare til pynt.

Here are some decorated cores from papertowels, and matchboxes. The first is a pre christmas gift to my parents inlaw, and the one with red candles for my brother inlaw and wife. The last one is just for decorating.

En venninne av meg var syk for litt siden, og da laget jeg henne denne gaveposen med konfekt inni som en bli frisk gave.

A friend of mine was sick a little while ago, and I made this gift bag for her with chocolate inside.

Siden sjokolade har det med å bli litt klissete, så laget jeg en pose til å ha inne i posen. Den var litt mindre, og hadde celofan til vegger istede for papir. Jeg ble svært fornøyd med den, og håper at den var til oppmuntring når man ligger i senga og føler seg elendig.

Since chocholate have a tendency to get sticky, I made a bag to have on the inside of the bag. It was a little smaller, and had clear plastic for walls, instead of paper. I'm very satisfied with how it turned out, and hope it brightend up a booring day staying sick in bed.

It is once again December and the family is getting ready for Christmas.
The children are guarding theyr advent calendars, so that no one openes them for them. That would mean mummy and daddy.
We have made pepperkaker, christmas cards and some small decorative elements so far!

Da er det advent, og hele familien har gått inn i førjuls modus. Kalendere følges med argusøyne hele dagen for å unngå at noen tar på egen kalender, og barna er i høyberedskap for å unngå at kalenderen skal åpnes av andre. Det vil si mamma eller pappa.
